Renton Health Sciences Center

Project Scope and services

Providing plumbing design for a new 3-story educational facility at Renton Technical College. The new facility will include learning spaces for Veterinary, Dental and Nursing assistants as well as sterilization lab, Surgery set-ups, Operating rooms and Anesthesia Technologists. Providing design drawings, specifications, calculations, and other services for a public design-bid-build delivery process. Targeting LEED Silver.

UW Facilities Design Standards Update

LOcation: Seattle, Wa • Year: 2023

Project Scope and services

In the role of a technical advisor, provided suggestions and feedback on updating and rewriting the UW Facilities Design Standards documentation. Gathered information on the concerns about the existing system and advised on how to re-write the standards to be consistent with industry standards.

Life Science / Office tenant Improvement

LOcation: Seattle, Wa • Year: 2021

Project Scope and services

Mechanical design for 5 floors of life science lab and office space in downtown Seattle. The design included incorporation of existing air handling equipment to meet the new requirements of the laboratory space. The project was LEED certified and included a high efficiency variable volume system in the office and constant volume for the laboratory spaces.

Process chilled water system Review

LOcation: Redmond, Wa • Year: 2021

Project Scope and services

Review of an existing process chilled water system serving thermal testing chambers. The system had experienced wide temperature swings for years, causing maintenance issues in the thermal testing equipment. HVAC Double Check did a full system as-built and was able to diagnose the cause of the temperature swings.
