Healthcare

We have experience creating mechanical system designs for various kinds of healthcare providers. It’s important to provide a clean, stable environment for these projects and we are experts in doing so. We have extensive experience working with Department of Health standards to deliver up to standard mechanical systems. Our designs keep the needs of patients and care providers in mind to create an environment that’s comfortable to work in, and to receive care in. harborview medical center facilities master plan

LOcation: Seattle, Wa • Year: Ongoing

Project Scope and services

As a senior mechanical engineer on the mechanical subcontractor team, HVAC Double Check is helping develop the Master Facilities Planning document for Harborview Medical Center, which will include new construction as well as renovation of older buildings. Serves as a technical resource listening to Harborview’s concerns, analyzing as-builts, and production.

Renton Health Sciences Center

LOcation: Renton, Wa • Year: Ongoing

Project Scope and services

Providing plumbing design for a new 3-story educational facility at Renton Technical College. The new facility will include learning spaces for Veterinary, Dental and Nursing assistants as well as sterilization lab, Surgery set-ups, Operating rooms and Anesthesia Technologists. Providing design drawings, specifications, calculations, and other services for a public design-bid-build delivery process. Targeting LEED Silver.

Dialysis clinic

LOcation: Federal way, Wa • Year: 2023

Project Scope and services

HVAC and Plumbing design for a new outpatient dialysis clinic. Provided permit drawings, construction drawings, bidding support, and project support during construction. Project scope was similar to a new build, as no equipment was reused. Design included new rooftop packaged heat pumps, split system heat pump and biomed and laboratory exhaust. Plumbing design included dialysis waste, RO water piping and dialysis water piping.

Sycamore Glen Assisted Living

LOcation: Chewelah, Wa • Year: 2021

Project Scope and services

Mechanical design for a large addition to an assisted living facility including 34 new patient rooms, kitchen, dining, and resident activity spaces. The design included new heat pump air handling units with energy recovery, and ventilation calculations to meet department of health guidelines.
