Community Center | New Construction

HVAC and plumbing design for a new community center featuring event spaces, kitchen facilities, VRF systems, dedicated outdoor air systems, and grease interceptor design. Mechanical systems were carefully integrated within open ceilings, exposed structure, and vaulted spaces to preserve the project's architectural vision.

Health Sciences Education Facility | Renovation

Plumbing design for a major renovation converting an existing building into a health sciences education facility. Progressive Design-Build | Renovation & Addition

HVAC design for a church addition and renovation delivered through a progressive design-build process. Redesigned and simplified the mechanical approach using VRF, ductless split systems, ERVs, and rooftop units while coordinating systems within open ceilings, atrium spaces, and architecturally significant gathering areas.

HVAC design for an urban townhouse development featuring ductless mini-split systems, kitchen exhaust, and whole-house ventilation. Coordinated equipment and vent locations with the architect and contractor to meet Seattle noise requirements while preserving the building's visual character.

Technical advisory support for updating University of Washington HVAC and plumbing design standards for laboratory, life science, and office facilities. Work focused on aligning existing standards with current industry practices through collaboration with UW Facilities and project stakeholders.

HVAC and plumbing design for a major renovation converting an existing facility into educational space. The project balanced budget goals by reusing viable equipment while upgrading ventilation systems to meet current classroom requirements. Healthcare Campus Master Planning | Existing Facility Assessment

As part of the mechanical engineering team, performed HVAC and plumbing assessments, existing conditions documentation, and decarbonization evaluations for the Harborview Medical Center Facilities Master Plan. Work included evaluation of historic facilities and development of recommendations supporting long-term campus planning.

HVAC retrofit for an existing office tower, replacing air handling units within tight building constraints. Design coordinated upgrades around existing systems in an occupied high-rise while meeting current energy and mechanical code requirements.

Office Tenant Improvement | Existing Building Renovation | Change of Occupancy

Mechanical design adapted the existing HVAC system to support a new tenant layout while maximizing reuse of existing ductwork and ceiling devices. Clear documentation of existing, relocated, demolished, and new components provided contractors with a coordinated scope of work. Air balancing requirements supported proper system performance with minimal system modifications.

Office Tenant Improvement | Existing Building Renovation

Mechanical design integrated HVAC systems within challenging existing conditions, including limited ceiling space, structural constraints, and tight plenum conditions. Coordination of water-source heat pump units, piping, ductwork, access requirements, and return air strategy improved constructability while supporting architectural goals. Carbon filtration was incorporated to address kitchen odor control.
